Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of CertifiedTranslations.online and the translation services we provide. By requesting a quote or placing an order, you agree to these terms. We are a professional translation service — we are not a law firm, and nothing we provide is legal advice.

2. Quotes and pricing

Quotes are free and valid for 30 days. Pricing is per page, where one page is up to 250 words, rounded up in 250-word increments. If a document contains substantially more content than estimated from your uploads, we will contact you with a revised quote before beginning work. You are never charged more than the firm quote you approve.

3. Payment

Payment is due after you approve your quote and before delivery unless we agree to invoicing. Payments are processed by Stripe. If we discover before delivery that you paid for fewer pages than your document contains, we may invoice the difference before delivery; if you paid for more, we refund the difference.

4. Turnaround and delivery

Turnaround times are business-day estimates that begin when we have (a) your approved quote and (b) legible copies of all documents. Turnaround periods exclude weekends and U.S. holidays, except for Rush orders where we confirm otherwise in writing. Deliverables are sent by email as digital files; hard copies are available as a paid add-on.

5. Your responsibilities

• You confirm you have the legal right to have the submitted documents translated and to share them with us.
• You are responsible for providing complete, legible copies of every page. Missing or illegible pages may affect the accuracy or acceptance of the translation.
• You are responsible for confirming the specific requirements of the agency, court, school, or organization receiving the translation (for example, notarization or hard-copy requirements).

6. Revisions, refunds, and our acceptance guarantee

Revisions are free for 30 days after delivery. If an agency, court, or school rejects your translation because of an error in our translation or a defect in our Certificate of Accuracy, we will correct the translation at no cost and refund your translation fee in full, provided you notify us within 90 days of delivery and provide the rejection notice. This guarantee does not apply where the rejection results from incomplete or illegible source documents, information you provided, or requirements specific to the receiving agency that you did not tell us about before the order. Refund requests are handled case-by-case, and we aim to make things right.

7. Accuracy and third-party use

We translate faithfully from the source documents you provide. We are not responsible for errors in the source documents themselves, for consular or agency processing decisions, or for consequences of changes made to our translation after delivery by you or a third party.

8. Confidentiality

We treat your documents as confidential and handle them as described in our Privacy Policy. We are happy to sign a mutually acceptable non-disclosure agreement before work begins at your request.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed deadlines, lost opportunities, or costs associated with re-filing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State], United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in [County, State].
