2. Information we collect

• Information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, language pair, document type, deadlines, and any notes you send us.
• Documents you upload: the documents you ask us to translate, together with any files you attach. These documents often contain sensitive personal details, and we treat them as confidential.
• Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and limited billing details, such as the last four digits of a card and billing country. We never receive or store full card numbers.
• Technical information: basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) generated by our hosting provider for security and operations.

3. How we use your information

• To prepare quotes and deliver translation services
• To communicate with you about your order
• To process payments and maintain accounting records
• To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
• To protect against fraud and misuse of our services

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your documents for marketing.

4. Who can access your documents

Access to your documents is limited to the translator and reviewer assigned to your order and, where necessary, our operations staff. We use service providers to operate the business — for example, hosting, email delivery, and payment processing — and share only the minimum information needed for those functions. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

5. Data retention and deletion

Translation files and associated documents are permanently deleted from our systems 90 days after delivery, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or we are required to retain them. Business and tax records relating to payments are retained as required by law. Deletion requests can be sent to hello@certifiedtranslations.online.

6. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all transmissions, access-controlled storage, and least-privilege access for team members. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using commercially reasonable safeguards.

7. Cookies and analytics

This website uses only the cookies necessary to operate. If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, request consent.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@certifiedtranslations.online. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

9. Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, except as contained in documents submitted by a parent, guardian, or authorized representative for translation.
