What is a certified translation?
A certified translation is a translation delivered with a signed Certificate of Accuracy — sometimes called a translator's certification statement — in which the translator states that they are competent in both languages and that the translation is complete and accurate. It is not a government-issued license; U.S. immigration rules allow any competent translator to certify a translation.
Will USCIS accept your translations?
Yes. USCIS regulations (8 CFR 103.2(b)(3)) require a complete English translation accompanied by a certification signed by the translator stating that the translation is complete and accurate and that the translator is competent to translate. Every order includes that certification. If USCIS rejects your filing because of a defect in our translation or certificate, we will redo it for free and refund your translation fee.
Do I need to prove I am a certified translator, or does the translator's certification suffice?
For USCIS, the translator's signed certification is what matters — the translator must state their competence and provide their name and contact details. There is no federal translation license. Our certificates include the translator's credentials, such as ATA certification or a university translation degree, and sign the statement in compliance with 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3).
How much does a certified translation cost?
Standard translations are $24.95 per page (1 page = up to 250 words), with 3–5 business day turnaround. Express (1–2 days) is $39.95 per page and Rush 24-hour service is $59.95 per page. Volume discounts start at 10 pages. Notarization, extra certified copies, and hard copies are available as add-ons.
How fast can you deliver?
Most standard orders are delivered in 3–5 business days, sometimes sooner. Express orders are delivered within 1–2 business days, and Rush orders within 24 hours (Monday–Saturday, subject to document size). If your deadline is tight, tell us in the quote form — we will confirm exactly when we can deliver before you pay anything.
How long does the free quote take?
Quotes are sent within 1 business hour during working hours, and usually within 15–30 minutes. Weekend requests are answered on the next business morning unless you flag an urgent deadline.
What formats do you accept?
PDF, JPG, PNG, Word, and most scanned or phone-photo formats. For best results, scan at 300 DPI in color or send sharp, well-lit photos where every page edge and stamp is visible. If a document is handwritten or hard to read, we may recommend official transcription first.
Do you need my original documents?
No. We work from high-quality scans or photos. Keep your originals — you will need them for your filings or appointments. Never mail original documents unless an agency specifically requires it.
Do you offer notarization?
Yes, notarization of the Certificate of Accuracy is available for $15 in most states. Many government agencies do not require a notarized translation, but some banks, courts, and foreign authorities do — we will tell you if it applies to your situation.
What is the difference between a certified translation and an apostille?
A certified translation is a translation with a translator's signed statement of accuracy. An apostille is a government authentication of the signature of a public official — such as a notary or registrar — on a document. Some countries require both a certified translation and an apostille. We can prepare the translation and coordinate the apostille process for you.
Which language pairs do you cover?
Any language to any language, including English-to-other-language for use abroad. We regularly handle 200+ languages, with deep experience in Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Tagalog, Arabic, Portuguese, Russian, Haitian Creole, Hindi, Nepali, Burmese, Ukrainian, Farsi, and many more. If you do not see your language listed, ask — it is almost certainly available.
How do I pay?
After you approve your quote, we send a secure payment link. We accept all major credit and debit cards, and business clients can pay by invoice or ACH. For most orders, payment is due after you approve the firm quote and before delivery.
What if I need changes after delivery?
Revisions are free for 30 days after delivery. If we made an error, we fix it immediately and re-certify the translation at no charge. If you need a name formatted differently for a specific agency, or an extra certified copy, just email us.
How do you protect my personal documents?
Documents are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled servers. Only your assigned translator and reviewer can access your files. Files are permanently deleted 90 days after delivery, and we are happy to sign a confidentiality agreement (NDA) on request.
Are you a law firm? Can you give legal advice?
We are a translation company, not a law firm. We translate and certify documents to meet filing requirements, but we cannot provide legal advice about your case, and nothing on this site is legal advice. For questions about your immigration case, consult a licensed immigration attorney.
Can you mail hard copies of the certified translation?
Yes. Printed certified copies can be mailed via USPS Priority Mail or UPS with tracking, starting at $12. Many agencies accept digitally delivered certified translations, but courts, banks, and foreign authorities sometimes require originals — tell us if you need hard copies.
Have a question we did not answer?
Send us a note with your document and deadline. A real translator will reply — not an automated bot.
